Wedding Photography Process
Here I've outlined step-by-step the entire wedding photography process, from booking to album delivery. I know you're busy with life and wedding planning, so I want to make this process as smooth and simple for you as possible.
1) Let's chat
Simple as that. You tell me all about your wedding dreams and what you envision for your photos, and I listen. The more I know about you, the better I can serve you. After hearing about your plans, I can walk you through how I expect the day will go when it comes to photos.
2) Deposit and Contract
When you're ready to book, a deposit of $2000 and a signed contract is required to secure the date. Both can be handled electronically, right from your phone.
3) Engagement session
Once you're booked, we'll go ahead and plan a time for your engagement session. This will be a fun, easy shoot - probably an hour-ish long - where you get a chance to get in front of my camera and see just how easy I make it for you. If you need it, I'll give guidance on where to go and what to wear. Most importantly, I'll always direct you through out the shoot, so you don't have to awkwardly wonder what to do with your hands. When the session is over, your images will be sent to you to download from a gallery.
4) Countdown to wedding
As we wait for the wedding day to arrive, I'm always available to answer questions you might have or listen to ideas for your photos. If it works out, we can even plan a time to grab some dinner, just to chat. Your final payment is due four weeks before the wedding.
5) Final wedding prep
About a week before the wedding, we'll plan a time to chat on the phone one more time. During this very important phone call, we'll make sure we're on the same page for your timeline, and together we'll go over all your family to create a shot list. No need for you to do this on your own; I'll do that work for you after we chat.
6) Wedding Day!
I believe weddings are important for so many reasons. I also believe it's a wedding, not a photo shoot, so while pictures are obviously a big part of the day, I never want them to over shadow the significance of the day itself. That's why I work quickly and plan ahead with a timeline and shot list, so everything runs smoothly and you can focus on celebrating.
7) delivering your photos
This is my favorite part of the process! About eight weeks after the wedding, you'll receive your images. A beautiful linen box containing a complimentary set of 5x7 prints hand selected by me will arrive at your door, so that your first experience reliving your day is with the joy of a real photograph. After you've had a moment to let it soak in, the rest of your photos are available in your gallery and on your USB.
8) creating your album
It's simple really. You pick out your favorite photos and I design your album with that list. Before the album gets sent to the printer, you'll have a chance to review the design and make any changes you wish. You also get to select cover materials, colors, and imprinting, turning your album into a personal instant heirloom.
9) Frames and prints
This is the final step in the process. I believe you shouldn't have any work to do when it comes to your photos, so I'll handle printing, framing, and even gallery wall installation. No need to be overwhelmed by any of it. Just ask and it shall be yours.
